Portsmouth High Teacher Caught in Classroom Video Mocking Donald Trump

Portsmouth, NH- A Portsmouth High School math teacher was reportedly “taken out” of her classroom after video surfaced of her dancing during class, allegedly singing “F*** Donald Trump” while wearing a Halloween costume styled after the Republican presidential nominee.

The brief video shows the teacher, a geometry instructor named Kara Kelley, dancing and allegedly singing along to a song containing the lyrics “F*** Donald Trump.” The Portsmouth Herald, which published the video, reported that the video garnered attention from the school’s administration after it began spreading on social media on Monday. The Portsmouth Herald censored the audio in the clip due to the “repeated expletive.”

Portsmouth Superintendent Stephen Zadravec reportedly told media in light of the incident that “There is no place for offensive language in our school community, nor is it our practice in school to support or discredit political candidates.”

Michael Grondahl, a parent of one of Kelley’s students, said that his son was in the classroom during the incident and had texted him to say that Kelley’s behavior was making him uncomfortable. Grondahl said he felt that Kelley’s actions were “hypocritical” because she had previously questioned Grondahl’s son about Trump as a role model.

Another individual identifying as a student emailed the Portsmouth Herald to say that Kelley was “kind-hearted” that dressing up for Halloween was a regular occurrence. The individual went on to claim that a student was responsible for playing the song in question in her classroom, not Kelley. “Another student played the song, not her. Yes, she danced to it, but she did in no way intentionally play the song,” read the email.
